I am from Russia. When I was a kid, the skin of the Hollywood stars on American TV shows amazed me. They look like ceramic dolls! And ever since, I always wanted to know their secret. Over the years, I researched so many different methods — from homemade alternative masks to expensive skin products — testing what works, what doesn’t until…

became a Hollywood actress myself! I want to share with you all I know about keeping the skin at its best state and how to keep it looking young as we age.

Our biggest desire is to get rid of wrinkles. Of course, no one wants to look like a dried out plum. But why does the plum dry out? Because it loses the water channel supply right after it gets picked.

We can think of our bodies in the same way. As you know, our body is made up of almost 70% water. With this, we can easily fight wrinkles with water.

By the way, the fear that our planet is running out of water is just made up. The earth’s atmosphere can’t let the water evaporate forever, so every drop that we have here is going just going around the natural water cycle. Basically, we are just drinking the same water the dinosaurs drank 65 million years ago.

Luckily, we always have the most accessible recourse to treat our skin – water.

As we age, our bodies lose moisture faster that by the time we feel thirsty, our bodies’ water level has already dropped 1% and wrinkles are on their way! A dry skin finds it difficult to reproduce new cells and fight aging.

Hydrating your body internally and externally can improve the skin structure and reduce wrinkles.

My friend Anna Krylova, who is a Plus Size Model in LA-NY, have these tips on how to drink water:

  • Drink water 30 minutes before or after a meal
  • Never drink water before you go to bed
  • If you consumed a caffeinated drink, double the amount of water to avoid dehydration

So how can we start erasing wrinkles and battle signs of aging and sagging skin without spending too much time?

Do you know that we have a pretty dry air even if we live next to the ocean? We do, especially during winter. Even if we properly hydrate ourselves by drinking lots of water, the outside environment keep sucking us out!

That’s why we should lower the temperature in the shower — even a little drop will make a huge difference! Brr it’s cold, but do we want to have a beautiful, young and elastic skin?

One of the best things that can erase wrinkles is ICE! Instead of dropping ice cubes into a drink, roll it all over your face. Don’t stop on one spot – you may freeze and numb the cells. Roll it in circles on your face for a minute and then let it dry.
