Nowadays markets are fulfilled with an enormous amount of the different skincare products, and it takes a lot of time to find what you need and what suits your skin best. And I noticed that more women are researching the alternative skin care routine that they can trust, and the most popular now is Ayurveda.

 

Ayurveda is a natural healing system that originated in India 5000 years ago. Tibetan Medicine and Traditional Chinese medicine come from Ayurveda. Ayurveda recognizes three vital energy sources in each one of us:

 

  1. The Wind Energy (movement):

When this energy in balance – a person tend to be creative, enthusiastic and light. When imbalanced, a person experiences insomnia, anxiety and dry skin.

 

  1. The Fire Energy (transformation):

When in balance – a person is intelligent, goal-oriented, intense. When imbalanced – a person is compulsive and irritable and may have inflammatory problems.

Ayurveda principals are to keep in balance the integration between body, mind and spirit to retain health and beauty.

 

For the beautiful skin, Ayurveda promotes a basic routine of three steps:

 

  1. CLEANSE

 

Cleansing and exfoliation is the first step, because our skin cells live very short life and need to be removed fast to let new ones breathe. For these purposes, Ayurveda uses herbal powders. Mix Chickpea Flour with Dry Milk Powder and add some water in it to make a paste. This paste will gently cleanse and exfoliate your skin. You can also substantiate dry milk powder with any Ayurveda herb that suitable for your skin.

  1. NOURISH & MOISTURIZE

 

Ayurveda chooses natural oils to nourish your body. The recipe for this:

Take a 1 oz bottle (better be a glass bottle) of base oil (it can be Sweet Almond Oil or extra virgin olive oil) and add 20 drops of Essential Oil that suit your skin (sweet orange is good for dry skin, jasmine for sensitive skin and lavender for oily skin).

Best would be to massage this oils into your wet skin after an evening shower. The massage tones your muscles and skin on a deeper cellular level that will slow down the aging process.

  1. MOISTURIZE

 

Mix melted Raw Cocoa Butter and Vegetable Oil 1:3 and apply it on your skin without massaging it. Substitute Cocoa Butter with Shea Butter every two months for a better moisturizing effect.
